Himalayan Envpro Adventures' team of ex Gurkha Officers, experienced
mountaineering sherpas,
trekking sirdars and guides together with expert outdoor chefs
and kitchen crews, have laid the
foundation for spending fulfilling and unforgettable holidays
in Nepal and Tibet. Our happy
clients from all over the world have commented on the personal
attention and care given to their
needs, the friendliness of our staff, the excellent food and facilities
during treks and the smooth
transfers between hotel accommodation and flight connections in
Kathmandu.
On the trail, the day-to-day routine is designed so that trekkers
have time to see, photograph and
explore the countryside. If you are fit, healthy and enjoy the
outdoors you will qualify to participate
in our treks. Porters, or in some areas pack animals carry your
personal gear, which means all you
need to carry is your own small pack containing items needed during
the day's walk.
Mealtimes are happy occasions, often outdoors amidst superb scenery,
with plenty of wholesome
food prepared in a blend of western and Nepalese cuisines. Himalayan
Envpro Adventures take
great care to preserve the Himalayan environment and to support
local communities. All cooking
is done on kero or gas burners and refuse is either carried out
or properly disposed of. Guides
and porters are chosen to work in their home territories, their
income helping the economy in
their villages. The inhabitants of smaller villages often stage
"cultural shows" with traditional
song and dance to entertain trekking groups - supporting this
practice does much to keep local
customs and traditions alive.
Great emphasis is placed on the safety and well-being of our porters
during treks into remote
regions involving pass-crossings and trekking in high altitudes.
Himalayan Envpro Adventures
ensure that porters have adequate provisions, sheltered sleeping
facilities and are led by a
qualified Sirdar.
